CELEBRATED CHEF DOUG KATZ AT LD TERRACE FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

The multi-award winning chef is visiting the island of Korcula from his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio and will be cooking a special menu that celebrates his simple yet sophisticated seasonal cuisine.
Douglas Katz is the owner and executive chef of fire food and drink, which was honored by Esquire Magazine in 1998 as one of America’s best new restaurants.
In 1999 Chef Katz received the Reader’s Digest rising star of American Cuisine award. Fire received best restaurant awards in 2005 from both Cleveland and Northern Ohio Live Magazines and in 2007 the Wall Street Journal called him “the Alice Waters of Cleveland.” Recently Travel and Leisure Magazine called Fire’s Sunday brunch “one of the best in America.”

There can be nothing better than to eat the best local seasonal produce prepared in a healthy way. At LD this is what we do - with some surprises.
Our fruit, vegetables and other ingredients are, where possible, sourced locally and grown using organic processes.
Our fish are caught by local fishermen using traditional methods or come from fish farms where they are fed on a natural diet.
We have an extensive breakfast menu to help kick start your day - such as freshly made smoothies, home made granolas, cinnamon toast or a great selection of cooked dishes.
The rest of the restaurant's menu is rooted in local flavours and traditional recipes presented in new ways and cooked in a healthy way. Dishes are ideal for sharing and combining. Small bites that go perfectly with a glass of wine, salads and soups for a fresh and healthy summer's lunch or more substantial dishes for a filling meal.
WINE
Wine has been an integral part of the local culture for over two thousand years. Our Croatian wines come from traditional locally grown grapes, many of which are unique to the country, such as the red wine grape Plavac Mali, a close cousin to Zinfandel, which produces powerful full bodied wines, and the Pošip grape, which we believe produces delicious and well balanced white wines. Our list includes many of the finest wines available in Croatia, with a particular emphasis on South Dalmatia, the island of Korčula, and the Pelješac Peninsula / considered by many to be the best wine regions of the country.
We have an exceptional selection of local dessert wines, liqueurs and spirits to finish your meal, as well as a wide selection of other beverages including fresh fruit juices, illy coffee, beers and soft drinks.
